Basking Ridge The Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge has more than eight miles of trails, wildlife, and birdwatching. BASKING RIDGE HOTELS Bridgeton With 2,200 colonial, federal, and Victorian buildings, Bridgeton in the enclave known as Cumberland County has New Jersey's largest historic district. FLEMINGTON HOTELS Gateway Region Known as the "Gateway to Freedom", this region of New Jersey is home to the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and Liberty State Park. Attractions include the Central Railroad Terminal Building where more than 12-million immigrants entered the nation between 1892 and 1954, and the Immigrant Museum at Ellis Island. Millville The 1700s town is home to the Millville Army Air Museum, and to Wheaton Village which houses the Museum of American Glass. Titusville The Washington Crossing State Park marks the Delaware River site where, in a blinding snowstorm on the night of Dec. 25, 1776, General George Washington crossed the river with 2,400 colonial troops and captured 1,000 Hessian mercenaries. Wildwood The island resort in the Southern Shore region has a fun attraction in Moreys Pier and some interesting museums such as the Doo Wop Preservation League Museum, and the George Boyer Historical Museum.
