Tailgaters' Tavern

You may be away from home, but that doesn't mean you have to be away from your favorite team. The Ramada Inn Syracuse's Tailgaters' Tavern makes sure of that. Everywhere you turn there is a television, including a large screen satellite dish TV that will make you feel like you're in the stadium's front row. Daily Happy Hour drink specials, complimentary hors d'ourves, a juke box, and an electric dartboard await those interested in unwinding after work. A tavern menu of burgers, sandwiches, and chicken wings is also available. The Ramada Inn Syracuse's Tailgater's Tavern is open from 11:30am to 1:00am. New Indoor Heated Pool

Some easy and some challenging holes. One green offers a beautiful vista of Syracuse and surrounding area. Look for SU Basketball coach Jim Bohiem playing his home course. Directions: Take 81 south to Brighton Ave. exit. At end of ramp turn right, at next stop light turn right on to E. Colvin St. Follow E. Colvin past Manley Field House (SU) to Nottingham Rd., turn right, Drumlins is on right side 1/2 mile up road.

Tight and long, water on some holes, course is set among an apartment and home development. Directions: Take NYS Thruway West to exit 39 (25 cents) at toll booth take 690 North approx. 6 miles to Van Buren Rd. At end of ramp turn right, take first right onto Village Blvd., course is on right side.

New Fitness Center

Phone Number: 513-637-0258 $17 per person, cart $20 Green Lakes State Park 30-35 minutes from Ramada 18 holes, par 72, call for tee times. GLSP is one of the best public courses in Central New York. Designed by Robert Trent Jones it is owned by New York State and very well maintained. Challenging course all around, with hills, trees, sand, water, etc. Look for the signature "Tee and Ball" trap from the first tee box. (It's around hole two.) Well worth the extra drive to the course. Directions: Take 81 south to 690 West. On 690 West exit at "Rte 5 East - Fayetteville". At "Y" bare left, follow Rte. 5 East past Fayetteville Mall, and the village of Fayetteville. About 2 miles past the village look for entrance to Green Lakes State Park on the left. Follow signs in park to golf course.
